What is Vesugen?
Vesugen is a synthetic tripeptide, Lys-Glu-Asp (KED), from the Khavinson series of short peptide bioregulators. It is used as a research compound in studies of vascular endothelium, endothelin-1 and sirtuin-1 expression, and endothelial proliferation during aging. Supplied for in-vitro and laboratory research use only.

How Vesugen is studied
In published research, KED was reported to normalise endothelin-1 expression raised in atherosclerotic and restenotic endothelial cells and to restore connexin and sirtuin-1 expression in vitro. Separate work reported increased Ki-67 proliferation marker in aged vascular endothelial cultures, with molecular docking suggesting contact with the MKI67 core promoter, and a review described regulation of cell-aging genes (p16, p21) and neuronal differentiation genes (NES, GAP43) in neurogenesis models. These effects are described in cell-culture models; corresponding mechanisms in humans are not established.

box looked like it lost a fight
I do the ordering for a small vascular biology group in Sherbrooke and this was our first Vesugen purchase from Miro. The outer box arrived crushed on one corner. Not what you want to see given what ten vials cost. Inside everything was fine, vials seated in foam, none cracked, so the packaging did its job even if the courier did not. The lot matched the batch certificate and the endothelial assays have run without surprises so far. Twelve days including a customs hold in Mississauga. Four stars, mostly for the carton.

KED did what the papers say
ran the KED tripeptide through our endothelial cell model and it behaved the way the khavinson group describes, which i wasnt sure it would given how thin the english language literature is. waterford in five days, first order.
worth it at that price? probably
565 dollars for ten vials made me wince a bit but its 10mg per vial and the batch cert is in order, groningen in a week.
