In published research, cagrilintide was characterised as a non-selective agonist of the amylin receptors (calcitonin receptor with receptor activity-modifying proteins) and the calcitonin receptor itself, compared against selective and non-selective reference agonists. Its C20 fatty diacid acylation supports albumin binding and a half-life of roughly 159-195 hours reported in a phase 1b study. A 26-week phase 2 dose-finding trial reported mean body-weight reductions of 6.0-10.8% across once-weekly doses versus 3.0% with placebo, and the phase 3 REDEFINE 1 trial of the cagrilintide plus semaglutide combination reported a -20.4% estimated mean change versus -3.0% for placebo at 68 weeks. The PI has wanted the amylin arm on its own ever since the CagriSema filing in December, and we already run the reta from Miro so it went on the same account. 10mg box to Gdańsk, no customs nonsense, all ten sealed. Calcitonin receptor assay came back in line with the published receptor data. The rat work can start now, and that is mostly what the PI cares about.

Ten vials of the 5mg lasted the rat feeding cohort about half as long as the budget said, our cohort size problem, not theirs. Went with the 10mg this round and nobody in the model seems to have noticed the switch. Kortrijk, and it landed on a saturday, which I did not know was possible.

Vi kör amylin receptorn i cellinjer parallellt med GLP-modellerna så det var praktiskt att lägga cagrilintiden i samma beställning som retan. Under en vecka till Norrköping, 5mg flaskorna hela. Bindningskurvorna ligger där litteraturen säger, fast vi har bara hunnit med en platta än så länge. Kollegan tjatar redan om 10mg.
